ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amanda Budreau

Amanda Budreau is an American artist born in Dearborn, Michigan on October 14, 1992.  She lived in Livonia, Michigan until the age of 7 when she moved to Dublin, Ohio where her family still resides.

Amanda took various art lessons as a child, but became actively involved in the arts during high school once she entered into the two year International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.  It was during this time that she discovered her love of painting in a graphic, pop art style.  She drew from inspirations such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Robert Rauschenberg.

After graduation Amanda had no plans to continue her artistic studies.  It was not until a semester into college that she realized art was a true passion that she wanted to pursue.  Amanda recently finished up her senior thesis as an art major at the University of Rochester.  It was her first solo exhibition.
